My Current Skincare Routine

I love to collect make up products and applying it on a daily basis. However, i seldom apply bases on my face everyday. I'd only wear foundation or tinted moisturiser on special occasions because i am terrified of having my face breaking out with zits and acnes, since i have a very VERY oily skin. You may call me paranoid, but i have a serious uneasiness when it comes to skin issues, which is why i invest on skincare. I know i'm only 19 years old, but i could say i already have a skincare routine for my everyday use.

I stick to the classic advice; cleanse, tone, moisturise. I do the three steps twice everyday, after the morning shower and before going to bed. Even though the steps are the same, the products i use are slightly different; in the morning i use a regular moisturiser whereas at night i apply night cream instead. The steps are really easy to follow to actually become a habit.

The usual cleanser i use is Clean&Clear's Deep Action Daily Pore Cleanser, which i purchased when i was in Indonesia. I recently ran out of it, so i'm using another product (Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Cleanser, which i will write about some other time), but I've been using the Clean&Clear cleanser since i was 15 and my skin never had a problem with it. But some say that as you grow up, your skin changes too, so I'm trying to shift my products now and then to seek for the best one for my skin. For toner, i use Etude House's Wonder Pore Freshner. Etude House is a well-known Korean brand that sells skincare products as well as make up products. I've been monitoring Korean beauty products as well because most said that Koreans are the pioneers in the beauty department, skincare products specifically. This Etude House toner (i don't know why they call it freshner) is one where it claims to minimise pores. I've been using this product everyday and i almost used it all up -it's a great toner!

After cleansing and toning my skin, i don't go ahead moisturise my skin straight away. Instead, i put on essence first. This is another tips i learn from Koreans, which is to apply serum or essence before moisturising. Essence is pretty similar to serum, except the concentration since serum is slightly thicker than essence. I use another Korean brand, Innisfree's Green Persimmon Pore Essence to minimise my pores, since i have a serious oil issues on my face.

For day moisturiser, i use the moisturiser also from Innisfree's Green Persimmon range. It's pretty watery compared to other moisturisers that are cream-like. For night time, i use The Body Shop's Seaweed Clarifying Treatment before going to sleep, as i applied it, it leaves a matte finish on my skin, and when i wake up the next morning, my face feels less oily.

So, do i like the products i mentioned above? Obviously -they're in my skincare routine! Although the Clean&Clear cleanser i used before was just an okay product and not all excellent, but it did its job.
